I would like actual material things such as a map or a book or something. I dislike game content as a bonus as well, for slightly different reasons.

I don't fully understand what your saying, the pre-order bonuses aren't usually gameplay oriented, they are booklets and stuff

Well, this forum IS about posting suggestions, or requests!

Simple request being, don't make us pay for items that PC players can get whenever they want.

Thank you.

i don't like pre order bonus, but maybe a bonus for buying the game new, as opposed to used seems legit. I mean that way people are more likely to buy it new if they get something extra, even if it just a sword with 2+ damage thats useless after 3 levels

the whole point of them is to give a small minority bragging rights by penalising the majority. its a stupid idea, people who pre-order get the reward of getting the game first, all pre-order bonus' do rob those who cannot afford to pre-order or otherwise cant of a game feature.
furthermore Its fodder for pirates, thats all it achieves is acts as a gateway download to actual piracy. As a little something like a pre-order bonus might be downloaded without any guilt, and from there its downhill.
Only arrogant people want pre-order bonus as it gives them the ability to mouth off at people who werent able to get them. Whereas to the vast majority its merely locking them out of something for no good reason.
its just a straight bad idea

Lokee, I hope you were being sarcastic.

Do you not see the "IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF THEY HAD THIS THING"
Threads running amuck?

I don't preorder any game. I wait until release to see if it is worth getting. Preorder bonus or not, I will not be influenced to pay for something without knowing what to expect.

Bethesda has never had ingame pre-order bonuses, I would like a map, or a shiny Septim, I'm sure if they did include pre-order bonuses, they would be too complex to mod in so PC gamers wouldn't get it for free.

Okay.

There isn't much here for discussion, however.
