How to implement Multiplayer aspects into TES

Post » Tue Nov 16, 2010 1:17 am

This is not a thread promoting co-op, rather a thread on how to utilize multiplayer aspects while still staying true to the single player identity of the game. I called the perks in TESV more then a year ago (maybe less then a year) and now i say we take a different aspect from another game. Demon Souls, the messaging system in DS would fit well in the TESV after all we all end up looking online for hidden artefacts. What if we were able to leave hints within taverns that lead to nearby treasures etc. Maybe there could be a wall in each town and the highest rated helpers among users would be posted. You could also have places where ancient dragon language is etched into walls etc and when you click to read its really User made Hints such as " Rare Item ahead" or "Beware of Dragon". I feel as if im cheating when i search online for items or quest.

Not every game HAS to have multiplayer. So no. The TES series should stay singleplayer.

Explain why not? I don't like having to look online for hints why not have a soft in-game guide for users to share info by picking pre-written dialog to leave in places where important stuff is near?

This isn't multiplayer, hell i'd settle for having a chatroom at the start menu of the game where users could enter and share stories/info. Infact any PS3 users who are willing, add me and we can all unite under one worldwide ES chatroom so we can share info regarding in game content. I'll get it going as the release date of TES nears.
