Fast Travel mod?

Post » Sat Nov 27, 2010 11:55 pm

Does anyone know of a mod that will change the travel time when using the fast travel feature on the map screen? I seem to be able to travel across Cyrodiil in just over an hour. I need a mod that does NOT CHANGE THE TIMESCALE because I'm using some survival mods and my timescale is set to make the game playable.

Any ideas?

Isn't what you are describing the game's default behavior? I have not heard of a mod that adjusts the timescale just for fast travel. However, there is now a mod for which you can have the timescale adjusted for various actions:

Automatic Timescale - http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27352

It isn't the default behavior, but that mod you suggest does have what I'm looking for. Thank you very much. :)

I can give you an alternative method: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4520 will add some cool transportation (by horse and by sheep) method, as well as what may be more useful to you.. teleporter for the Mage Guild much like in Morrowind! But I think you need to be a member of such guild to use the teleports.

There's another mod that adds teleportation platforms to the mage guild, those should be usable by anyone, but I don't remember the name :/

My Automatic Timescale mod - which is also integrated into Real Sleep Extended - has a specific timescale setting for fast travel. Set this high, and fast travel will take more time.

You could also consider my Map Marker Overhaul, which has the option of restricting the allowed fast travel distance, and/or to limit how much fast travel you can do within a certain time.

Edit: Noticed Tomlong75210 already mentioned it.

Thanks Dirich. I had already considered some mods similar to what you are describing. Maybe for my next char I'll use something like that.

Thanks NiceOne. Yes, I DL'ed your mod which Tomlong suggested. I already am using your map marker mod. Fantastic work. Always impressed by the quality of your work. Many thanks. :)
