Huh? Its in documents/mygames/falloutnewvegas I think you also have to change the one in the New vegas folder under data. But the archive invalidate thing you can just set in FOMM under tools.

No no, this is not in the main installation path. Go to your main drive, then (Username is whatever you log in as on your computer) "Users/Username/MyDocuments/MyGames/FalloutNV" in there you will find all your .ini's.

Normally I would agree with you on this, but Steam is a little screwy. For FNV there are three separate INI files, one of which is located in your Fallout New Vegas folder. On my computer that particular file is simply labeled as Fallout default, IIRC that's the file that needs to be changed, and not the other two files. I'm pretty sure the INI file in your NV folder will overwrite the other two INI files every time you run the launcher. I've reset my file in the folder you mentioned far too many times since release date only to realize later that it was being overwritten.

There is more than one.

That is the one I was talking about.

I was told by some mod to change both(the 3rd one won't let me change it). And had to for some other mod.

The one in your Fallout New Vegas folder is the only one you really need to change, but if you feel the need you can change the others as well.

The reason you are unable to alter the file is that it is set to read only. You would need to change this under the properties of that file.

Good to know.
