thinking of downloading Andyfall

So apparently this big mod for Daggerfall adds tougher enemies including mounted knights, and it redraws some clothing and adds some additional clothing/helmets, and other little things like that. The thing i want to know is whether these changes are good quality or if they look sort of dumb. Also if anyone would have screenshots of stuff added by this mod (clothing, monsters etc.) that would be really cool. I hate downloading something which I can't see first.

The models certainly fit in with the world. My understanding is that most of them shipped with the CD but were not included in the game (I know that to be the case with the mounted riders). Then he went and dikeed around with the world and its difficulty.

Now, the difficulty curve. It is insane. You experience a similar degree of difficulty increase going from Daggerfall to Andyfall that you do going from Morrowind to Daggerfall. Fun but, wow. Just wow.

The mounted guards look nice when they're wandering the city streets. They look surreal and silly when they're chasing you indoors. The problem is that while, yes, the guard on horseback graphics were part of the original CD and just not implemented, the Andyfall mod replaces all the guards with them, indoors and out. The game has no way to discriminate, sadly. This can be especially funny when you're on the second floor of a two-story building and there's guards downstairs; their heads poke up through the floor because of the height of the graphics.
As for the clothing changes, they're not really impressive to me-- seemed like an awful lot of trouble to go through to add three or four extra sets of women's undergarments to the game, which is most of what he seems to have done. I can't comment on the playbalance, since I've never done very much with the mod, but I understand he added a new class of NPC human that's tougher, and a few weapon tweaks, at least (I think axes got a boost).
Give it a try, if you like-- just make a backup of the Daggerfall files before you install it, and if you don't like, it's easy enough to switch things back.

He changed the female versions of leather armour. Now it's black with spiked shoulders... Also katanas etc now have that wrapped cord handle look. Axes did get a boost. Adamantium was made stronger than mithril.
The dark elves in Wayrest now look like dark elves.

The major change to the standard character classes is that he put in a class he named as Overlords. These replace battlemages IIRC. They are easily the toughest enemy in the game. To remove them, all you need to do is copy the battlemage class file back over the overlord class file. Then you can enjoy the other less scary parts of Andyfall.
