Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim?

Post » Sat Dec 04, 2010 6:56 am

So in Daggerfall I know you could join the dark brotherhood (no idea if you could in arena or not), then in morrowind they decided to make you fight the dark brotherhood in the tribunal expac, and then in oblivion you could once again join the dark brotherhood. It seems that the dark brotherhood has always had a presence in TES games in one way or another, and just wondering what your predictions are for skyrim.

It's pretty much confirmed they're a joinable guild in Skyrim.

You'll have to believe me. I don't remember if I saw it either in Todd's podcast, GameInformer or any european magazine.

Yes please links. It's not that I don't believe you, but the brotherhood is my favorite of all the guilds so I would love to see the actual article :)

I'll be surprised and a bit sad if it isn't in as a joinable Guild. :)

I would hope Skyrim would offer greater difficultly for the DB quests. The ones in Oblivion didn't involve much fighting nor stealthing and I finished all the DB quests way before the other guild quests.

Well remember Skyrim is where the Dark Brotherhood started, so maybe we will get to see the first sanctuary?

Well the dark brotherhood are Tamriel wide. You could join them in Daggerfall and Oblivion but not Morrowind because they had the Morag Tong. They didn't make an appearance in Arena. From what we have seen, the Dark Brothehood will be in Skyrim as a joinable faction.

A quest inspired by Jack the Ripper murders and the freemasonry would be nice and quite fitting for the Dark Brotherhood. For those unfamiliar, there is a theory that Jack the Ripper was really a royal official who was a freemason ordered by the royal family to silence the five women who had witnessed an illegitimate marriage between the royal prince and a prosttute. I'm a avid reader of books on JTR so I would love to be in a quest like this.
