Not once in Oblivion or even Morrowind did my character feel truly evil. Sure I did illegal thing and some morally grey things, but none of it seemed as though i was a sociopathic assassin or Underworld kingpin. At most my character was a shady yet lovable rogue. The thieves guild seemed to robin hood, and the dark brotherhood (while a cool idea) seemed way to emo. Skyrim is set 200 years in the future, lets get rid of the thieves guild entirely, make refrences to it or whatever you want, but no more guild. Instead, there is an underworld crime syndicate in wich you rise up through the ranks from a low level thug to the godfather! The questline itslef should determine how evil or robin hood you are depending on how you play. As for the dark brotherhood, for the first while the quests should involve Little but assassinations, all buisness, no sithis worship. As you complete contracts and rise through the ranks, the brotherhoods leaders recognize your talents and bring you closer to ther inner circle. Thats where the brotherhood becomes more of a cult dedacated to this death god.
