Elder scrolls JRPG

I don't want to fight Mankar Cameron or Dagoth Ur as a scantily clad 9 year old girl with a 10 foot long sword in a turn-based fight, thank you.

Yeah, I was quite surprised by the amount of blind hatred against JRPGs in general around here. Now, I can understand that some of the more recent titles might not be everyone's cup of tea and that not everyone had the chance to play games like Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 6, but geez.

Not to say there aren't bad ones out there, and there always are, but seriously.

People, before you go pretending that all JRPGs are about girly teenagers with swords bigger than they are going around whining, play both Lost odyssey and tales of Vesperia. I know you all won't, and still go on pretending because it's easier to be self-deceptive than to advenace your knowledge of things, but I feel like suggesting these two magnificent games that happen to be JRPGs to you all.

Lol, wut? OK, I just looked over the synopsis, characters, and the way this game is apparently played.

Pretty much Final Fantasy 7 with a few twists. Go back to your hole, JRPGer!

Who would like to see a fan made japanese rpg version of an elder scrolls game similiar to the fallout one that was in the blog. I'm actually surprised nobody has made one yet. what do people think of the idea? would it be legal?

Terrible Idea.

Zelda combat wise level design wise it is superior to elder scrolls world wise their about the same, elder scrolls is better in lore but zelda has completely nailed the adventure aspect of rpgs.

Ehh... When it comes to 8-bit TES themes, Arena is the best, imo.

What.. Arena was General MIDI, not 8-bit. Big difference.

So you mean you prefer "See this pulsating, radiating light that you can't possibly miss? Use most recent acquired item/hit it" for bosses while the regular fights just feel like nuances because they don't serve any purpose apart from stagnating the game even further? Some of the puzzles were OK, but when the rest of the game is just simple and straightforward? No thank you.

I'm not averse to JRPGs in general. I do enjoy a fair few however this is a terrible idea. The setting that the ES is in already is fine without a need to alter it in such a way.

Having read through this, and deleted posts, it is best if this does not continue any further. Sorry OP but it seems some cannot express themselves constructively enough to make this a worthwhile topic.
