At least you got game. In Korea, Homefront banned forever and Brink doesn't even release.

No really, he's delusional and he's Japanase.
That's right, people. SOUTH KOREA'S PREDIDENT IS JAPANESE.
No joke.

ps. we once blocked and banned Steam.com because they don'y pay any taxes to our government.
ps2. Korea's teenagers are banned from all kind of video games after 12:00 AM till morning. IN KOREA, PLAYING VIDEO GAME IS CRIME.

Oh quit your whining. Do you even know how many japanese games I would love to play but can't as they'll never be brought stateside? Or even they do manage to find a publisher willing to put in the work to translate and regionize the game, it often takes a few months at least. 15 days is nothing.

Fist of the North Star Ken's Rage released 03/25/10 in Japan, 11/02/10 in the US. Namco X Capcom released 05/26/05 in Japan, never released outside of Japan. Bayonetta 10/29/09 in Japan, 01/05/10 in the US. Blazblue Continuum Shift 07/01/10 in Japan, 07/27/10 in US, which is one of the few releases that's been anywhere near less than a month, but the kicker is that it was released on 12/03/10 in Europe.

Want a better example?

Yakuza 4 released in Japan before Yakuza 3 got an English language version. (EDIT: And they had removed some of the content from the original release when it DID show up)

Even though the previous games in the series had been hugely popular in US and EU.

How's THAT for fair?

And unlike Japanese developers (Looking at you, FROM), EU and US developers actually code their multiplayer on the assumption that part of the playerbase will be using low-quality ADSL lines, and actually make sure the netcode is up to handling less than perfect connection speed and ping.

could be that FPS's are not as popular in Japan as it is here in the states. which when you think about it is true. how many FPS games come out of Japan? practically none. Western gamers love that kind of stuff. so from a business stand point it makes sense.
it svcks but thats how it is. take Operation Flashpoint as an example, released in europe almost a month before that states, from what i've seen, more folks from over there are more interested in the game that those in the states so why not release it there first.

you have to see it from all angles. it's not an insult, just the numbers

Yeah YEARS. FF2 took almost 20 of them to finally make it over here. How many months did it take for the 3ds take to make the trip over here? And the PS3? And hey guess what I have had Rage preordered for 5+ years. Deus ex for atleast 3-4. How is pointing out that games take time to localize being a really devoted fan? All I'm seeing here is a petulant little child throwing a tantrem because he has to wait a couple extra days. Everyone here has been nothing but civil to you, and in reply you keep screaming "insultzzzz they hate me."

What?!!!. Are you in Japan or somewhere else?. It doesn't seem you're even here and yet you talk with property babbling nothing but ignorance on the situation I am complaining about. Check your facts before exposing yourself again like this, really.

you're just butt hurt cuz you have to wait an extra 15 DAYS.

"Yeah, I'm getting it the day I paid for it so screw the rest".

Know what man?, get the F out of here with your attitude. Really.

Smells like a TROLL is in here.. Thread is going no where.

Another generic, "Oh look, a complain. He must be a troll" post. Generic, that is what happens with these multiplatform titles, the console kiddies jump and mix in the PC gamer communities...

Thank you. Finally an intelligent post devoid of the stinky ridiculous console-like fanboism.

You are right. FPS in Japan hasn't been so popular until quite recently but honestly I think it's got nothing to do with it. Why I and many others over here feel insulted is because we have been following Splash Damage and their work since ETQW and were looking forward to BRINK. It was offered on Steam more than 6 month ago, we gave our money to SUPPORT its development and now the release date is pushed back not even with the decency of offering a coherent explanation. I think as a customer we are in our right to demand the product to be delivered AS OFFERED until just today when the release date was abruptly changed. You could even call it false advertisemant and sue them if you were in the US for doing this. Unfortunately we are in Japan and it is difficult such task.

Anyway, thanks for bringing some perspective into the thread.

Just wish any Splash Damage and/or Bethesda would explain and not arbitrarily just do this kind of things disregarding its customers.

So far this seems a lot HOMEFRONT release, a disrespectful console port.
