what is Dovahkiin?
is it the name of your character is it nord or dragon-tung for something. or is it the name of a prophecy of you character.
i really dought that it is you character name because if he is prenamed then it takes some of the elements of a role play out of the game.

That happened during the Covenant with Alessia. Her blood and Akatosh's was mystically joined, and the dragon blood continued on through her heirs. As far as we know, the Dragonborn don't have to have dragon blood however.

Its symbolic. It means, essentially, that a person is an agent (not officially, just in how they act) of the Empire. That is why the Nerevarine was considered "dragonborn", as she/he was, in the end, working for the Empire as a whole.

Really? Because it seemed that Dragonborn implied people who were able to use the Voice/Thu'um and/or slay dragons (which makes the most sense in my eyes, since you're apparently the "last of the Dragonborn"). At least that's how Game Informer put it.

Dovakin is not the offspring of a dragon nor is he default Nord or Imperial.

Anyone can be Dragonborn.

Dragonborne are the chosen of the Aedra they dont need dragon blood and yes you are correct they are needed to kill dragons as dragons only fear the dragonborne and dragoneborne are the only who can speak draconic also to the person my quote quoted, it is NOT symbolic unless your telling me that anyone could wear the amulet of kings or turn into the avatar of akatosh.
