A rat problem and a path problem

Alright so i started the first assignment from Azzan in Anvil the "rat problem" quest, done this one about a thousand times in my oblivion gameplay history but this problem is new:

When i am to follow pinarus inventius to go hunting he just walks into a pile of rocks and attempts to go through them with little luck. The place is inside anvil near a city wall just on the other side of the street from his house.
There's a bosmer npc doing the same thing next to him so i supsect this would be a path problem. I use better cities so it probably changed something in the city layout that causes this to happen.

Well this should probably be reported in the better cities thread so they can fix it. Not really anything to do, you can move the path grid yourself or you can disable the mod temporarily (this can also be done to make sure it is indeed better cities) or you can probably just run to spot where lions are and kill them, might have to do a setstage console command to get to appropriate stage before killing them. But yeah report it in better citities.

Alright that's what I'll do but got to check this further i don't believe that the guys at better cities could make such obvious mistakes with a FG quest. Anyway can i edit the path with tes4edit or the cs?

Use cs to adjust path grid. It's easy to miss stuff like that, most of the time it wont create problems but sometimes it does.

Ok found what's wrong when disabling better citties pinarus exits the city by a rope ladder near that wall. I remember that TIE adds such new city exits i use tie 4 mods and it looks lik it has some compatibility issues with BC

Sounds logical. You probably need to add your own path grind that shows a clear route back to vanilla grid then if you want to fix it properly, or just find a work around and either telport him to place where you get quest update or just use setstage to advance quest.

Check the rocks he's walking into with FormidFinder or RefScope to see what mod put them there. It may not be BC.

Ok guys thanks problem solved i downloaded TIE in which is newer than tie4mods and there was a compatiblity patch there that solved my problem
