help with mod conflicts

hello,

I have recently gotten back into oblivion after taking some time off and dealing with RL. On the way back iv been noticing some issues related to mods. So i recently optaind a program from time slip called "mod conflict detector". I followed all the instruction and tried to make sence of what it was telling me. To be completely honest i have no idea what it was telling me. Aside from some mesh and texture issues. there were other types that i couldn't quite get my head around. My first move was to use the BOSS(better oblivion sorting software) but that isnt working as it keeps telling me it cant find a missing text file and i was attempting to have it fix my load order. Perhaps falling back to the other sorting program would help?

Sence i need to find this other program id lke to know if there are other ways to fix the problems i have. if you need i can post the entire list and color code them as they were and perhaps i can start repairing the damage. I only know of the boss program and have little if any experiance with other such programs. So any help or advice you may have will go a long way in getting the game back on its feet.

thanks in advance moon

I wouldn't recommend Mod Conflict Detector if you're not an expert on interpreting the results, as most of the conflicts it reports are unavoidable and unharmful when using lots of mods. It's those conflicts that you deal with via the load order and/or using a Bashed Patch. Better to use TES4Edit, but that's not exactly newbie friendly either - as you still have to understand what shows up.

Double check the BOSS install - check its thread, readme. It's very useful/helpful so it would be great if you got it up and running.

Post your load order, preferably via Wrye Bash. Which is basically a must have mod utility as well BTW.
