Any good pet mods besides Insanity's Pet Shop?

Post » Fri Jan 14, 2011 6:20 pm

I'm using it now but it svcks, I have to constantly call them with the whistle and then go into interaction and set them to follow. I set them to aggressive and they attack guards and I set them to passive and they don't do anything.

Is there any pet mod out there that is just simple. I want a panther, mountain lion, cougar, some sort of cat that I can level up and grow. And I want it to fight with me. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Cheydinhal pet shop

I'm using better cities, is it even compatible with that? Also it seems like everyone says that the Cheydinhal one is bugged and insanit's is better.

If you're looking for cats, you might use http://www.firingsquad.us/PHP/modules.php?name=Downloads by hobbs. Cool panther/leopard companions you can train up to fight with you. Great mod, worth registering to download. :)

The pet's are inside the Mage's Guild last I used Cheydinhal Petshop; you can try http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7819 which comes with scripts for Beast (dogs, boars, lions, ect.) and Minion (ogres, trolls, wraiths, ect.) companions. Plenty of people have made animal companion type mods using CM Partners; and you can also make your own using the Construction Set and just use one of the existing monsters and make a new one - also comes with a tutorial of how to make companions if needed.

God forbid someone criticizes someone else's work. How about this, I was tired of non responsive pets that didn't do anything. I'm sorry you can't handle me being so blunt with my experiences with your mod and in the end having it be more of a hassle than it was worth.

Komm, if I were you, I'd simply create your own companion creature mod. I also found I couldn't get the right creature a while ago so I made my own. Much better to make your own mods where possible. Companion mods might seem daunting at first, but once you figure it out, it becomes pretty basic stuff.

If you have any spefific questions about a creature's aggression/lack of willingness to fight just ask me in this thread and I'll tell you what I think.

I suggest you read the rules - constructive criticism is fine here. And most modders will listen, many people will contact them via PM, or on the Nexus forums or here. But a rude "suxxorz" kind of post and follow-up... probably not going to get you the support you need. I am locking this for flaming. You've got some alternative suggestions.
