Draugr's Head Got Destroyed!

Post » Tue Jan 18, 2011 8:37 pm

The trailer vid shows a draugr's head being obliterated.

We wouldn't have seen this in MW or OB. Does it mean locational damage is in or is it just an animation?

Discuss.

It was a finisher. Just like the guy getting stabbed in the gut, the guy getting his throat slit and so on.

Yep, finisher. Plus, he's an undead draugr so they can include decapitation/limb removal on them without having the rating bumped up.

How are you guys sure it's a finisher?

It was less than a second of vid time and looked pretty fluid with the animation so it's hard to tell for sure. We didn't see any other finishing moves in 1st person in the vid did we?

I'm not convinced it is a finishing move. It just looked like his head was reacting fluidly to the impact.

Looks like a finisher to me, and it sounded so juicy!

Kinda looks like an ebony war hammer.

His head is still there, it just got knocked back. The axe hits in his chest/neck.

The guy getting stabbed in the stomach was in 1st person.
