gamepad support for pc?

Post » Thu Jan 27, 2011 6:57 am

I would love to play this on PC, however my left hand is only about 50% mobile due to a spinal cord injury years ago, which make keyboard/mouse play practically impossible for me, gamepads on the other hand I have little or no problem with, I seem to remember the gamepad use for oblivion wasn't very good, so I ended up playing on my 360..

Right now I don't have a worthy comuter, but I plan on investing into a new pc well before Skyrim is released, insights would be appreciated

I apologize if this is a repost I couldn't find this topic

At least one of the articles I read recently mentioned the developers having gamepads hooked up to their PC's while playing the game, so I think you are good.

I am playing Morrowind on my laptop right now. I am also using Xpadder so I can use my gamepad for it. All you have to do is programme it. Very easy to do. So you will have no problems if Bethesda doesn't do this.

Just Google Xpadder and you should be able to play alot of games on the PC with a game pad now.

my friend is missing his left arm and just uses a razer mouse (the one with all the macro's) lets just say his pinky finger and the one next to that use the left/right/mid buttons.

Normally i would say Gamepad on pc is heresy.

I've tried xpadder on one of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games and the trouble I had was making the anolog work properly, so the camera controls were basically button presses on the right stick with no anolog control, I didn't spend alot of time trying to figure it out tho so maybe there is a way to properly convert the camera/movement to anolog, I'll look into it more when I get time..

But it sounds like Skyrim may have support out of the box which would be nice too..

Thank you
