Does anyone have experience with Direct2Drive giving out a steam code and how close to the release will they give them out? My hope is that they give me the steam code in time to preload the game onto my computer to play the absolute second it's available for play through steam.

They've given out code when a game is available for pre-loading on steam before, they might do it for Brink too. But don't take it for granted.

they usually give out the code automatically right at midnight on launch day. If there is a preload, I didnt get it on BlackOps. I got my BlackOps code like at 12:12am or something strange like that.

PS: to all others who hate D2D like me. You can actually use the code and download it in steam instead - bypassing the horrible download manager D2D has.

I ordered through D2D because it was cheaper, but have never used it before. Sad to know that they might not give it out in time to preload (although it doesn't sound like it's out of the question, either), but good to know that, as I assumed, the code can be plugged directly into Steam.
