Hello! I'm Exorince and I'm a forumholic... err... I mean I'm an administrator in The_Elder_Scrolls Steam group, a group created by forumers as an unofficial forum group back when Bethesda's only major IP was The Elder Scrolls series. Now things have changed and the forums are a hub for all the new games Bethesda is publishing or developing.

Obviously the name "The_Elder_Scrolls" isn't ideal for a group that's supposed to be open for all forum members. That's why I'm suggesting that we change the name to something... neutral. for example the Bethesda Forum Group, or simply BSF

I'm no good at coming up with catchy names so I'm just going to let you guys decide.

but hey if you don't agree with me then just say it. I didn't originally create the group and if I'm to be completely honest then the only reason I'm an admin there is because I demanded that they would make me one.

This thread would also be the place to get invited to the group (although it is public) and to discuss future game meetups for forum members.

As far as I know there are also Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas groups, so having one devoted only to The Elder Scrolls series doesn't seem that odd.

The difference is that the elder scrolls group was originally created as a group for all forum members.

Originally yes, but now there are other games. Games with their own groups. What would a renaming accomplish except to take away from the other groups? Let there be a TES only group, just like the others. If need be a new group can be made for BGSF General.

Of course it's really not that bag of a deal, as it's not like the forums will grind to a halt otherwise.

Why wasn't I invited?

BSF Group or something similar seems fine to me, something that makes it obvious, nothing too obscure or fancy.

Don't worry, the group is open for everyone, even teddy bears with a creepy stare and the ability to use a computer
