Let's discuss our server hosting options. Not many servers are picking up Brink yet because the files aren't out until Monday. I'm kind of worried about this because then I have like 3 free hours to purchase and get a server set up before the game releases.

I've seen a few hosting sites with preorders but honestly lots of the higher reputation sites are still in the "planning" stages.

I hope they give us free reign over all settings so we can disable certain weapons, it will help woth competitive play until mod tools are released.

So where did you hear this because I hope this doesn't delay the preload. I would think these files would release before the pre load happened or at the same time.

What are you talking about, I don't want to play early, I want to have a functional server configured with the correct cvars for release day.
