If you think that's weird can you imagine what Therana does in her free time?

I always am a little afraid of going to her tower. I think it's because of the naked khajiit behind her.

It may be disconcerting to an n'wah and a peasant such as yourself, but it's common knowledge among natives of Vvardenfell that Telvanni magi prefer all-natural mannequins to display their expensive armor and clothing.

Well he cured the player didn't he?
I'm not sure if he manage to cure other victims though...

Define cure?
He got the symptoms to disappear but not the disease itself.

Beneficial side effects of corprus are still there, though, and since those effects are effects of corprus i'd say that the "cure" never fully worked. But as it's been said earlier it worked indirectly, as because of the "cure" Nerevarine was able to kill Dagoth Ur.

Oh, and since after killing Ur Nerevarine still had the goodyeffects on him i'd say that those who had corpruss affecting them still have them. Onle there won't be new victims to the disease

If I remember right, didn't our characters get an ashen skin from corprus? I don't remember if that changed once we were "cured" by Divayth Fyr. The most important aspects of having gotten corprus but being cured, of course, were the immortality and the knowledge that we wouldn't end up like the Corprusarium inmates.

It wasn't like cure gotten you rid of corprus, it was just that bad effects were gone. The immortality was an effect of corprus, not an effect of being curef of corprus

The good effects actually fulfill part of the prophecies surrounding the Nerevarine. In it they say the Nerevarine will neither be touched by age nor by any other afflictions like disease. Corprus creatures neither age normally nor can they contract any other disease. By getting the disease you fulfill part of the prophecy. Fyr is just able to remove the bad things from the Nerevarine, probably because you're the Nerevarine and special in some way.

That makes me REALLY curious as to what information Fyr was going off. What was the methodology by which he happened upon a symptom suppressor that works only for the one prophesied by Azura?

Well, he did seem to use trial and error approach with a lot of his subjects. He also used his dwemer buddy for a bunch of his treatments, which seemed to have stopped it from spreading further into his body, but not quite cured. Maybe the nerevarine had a mix of divine intervention, lots of luck, and the disease wasn't full blown corpus (like the other corpus victims you see). He did say that the cure will either kill you or save you, due to the previous cures killing the victims.

My guess is that the "cure" worked on the Nerevarine because the Nerevarine was given the potion so quickly after contracting the disease.

The other victims have been infected for some time. Maybe that is why it kills them and not the Nerevarine?

Are you sure that "you can fulfill the prophecies because you're Nerevarine" and not "you're Nereverine because you could fulfill the prophecies"?

Corpus always had some loose connection with Lorkhan's heart. Ever since that's gone... I don't know. My best guess is that it will have stopped spreading (though that was probably already only spread through Dagoth Ur's willful agents), and in those who currently have it, it will stop getting worse.

"you can fulfill the prophecies because you're Nerevarine"

Yes. The Nerevarine was able to survive the Seven Visions and Seven Trials of the Incarnate (such as the curse of the flesh, Corprus disease).

"you're Nereverine because you could fulfill the prophecies"

Yes. Past alleged successors to Indoril Nerevar were unable to fufill the prophecy, and their spirits now reside in the Cavern of the Incarnate. Many I believe even perished upon attempting to acquire Moon-and-Star because they were not the real Nerevarine.

I thought Fyr wasn't even searching for a cure. He seemed rather ecstatic to me when he found out all the benefits of Corprus were still present but the negatives gone. He was never searching for a cure. He knew full well the beneficial attributes of Corprus.

He sought a Tamrielic Corprus version of modern cough syrup, if you will. Treat not the disease, treat the symptom. He never sought to cure the disease at all. He sought to cure the aliments, and he succeeded.

Maybe he plans on catching Corpus Disease, then use his special cough syrup to live FOREVER!!!

TBH he's doing pretty well in that regard without catching Corprus. He's one of the few mortals alive that were around during the Battle of Red Mountain, wherein the Dwemer disappeared. In fact, he may be the only one, considering that the Tribunal aren't mortal, Dagoth Ur is dead and also wasn't mortal, and Yagrum Bagarn wasn't technically around for that battle, though he was born before it happened, and could also be considered to not technically be mortal due to Corprus. There may be others that I'm unaware of that are old enough to have been there, however.

The ash vampires I think count as well, but I could be wrong. In any event they're dead though.
