Skyrim on Blu Ray!

Post » Wed Feb 02, 2011 12:41 am

I am a nerd. Just got done authoring a Blu Ray of the Skyrim Trailer with the wallpaper as the menu. Watching it on my computer screen simply was not good enough. It deserves to be played in 50 inches of HD glory with surround sound... Awesome Trailer... Was not expecting to see game play footage this soon. Bravo Bethesda,.. Bravo!

Did you use the 1280x720 wmv file or the 920x515 quicktime file?

I would buy a BluRay drive just for Skyrim if there was a choice of multiple DVD install or single BluRay.

The quicktime file was 1280X720. Unless your saying it had an original resolution of 920X515 and was stretched, but I don't see any indication of that. I did use the quicktime file and it looks awesome. It did give me some trouble when trying to convert it on my PC but when I used compressor on my Mac it worked just fine. Of course I had to come back to my PC to burn it to Blu Ray since apparently FCP/DVD Studio Pro doesn't think Blu Ray is very important and has no support for it. However, it looks awesome and is making the waiting much more difficult..
