Get Smart Series: The Battlefield

This means there is no simple spy-checking. You have to spend more than a bullet.

Not true. At 4:00 of the vid we watch as the Op runs by. Unlike the other teammates he doesn't highlight in blue (first indicator), but more importantly he gets XP when he hits him with the first bullet, which is plenty of an indicator that he's obviously an enemy Op. Very simple spy check that only takes one shot.

After the command post is captured then its the operatives job to hack it, if not we would see a ton of operatives at the onset of every battle trying to secure the posts and thus gain the bonuses.

I don't think that is necessarily true because command posts give a nice little benefit but they are not game changing. People will still rush to the objective. If everyone started out as Operatives trying to take command posts right off the bat it sure would make it easy to take an objective for the attacking team. But I can see your point still think it would have been nice if Operatives were the only ones who could capture them because it would be something they could do what directly benefits there team since Operatives do not have any buffs like other classes do this could replace that.

The defuse only really comes in handy if someone activates it. Why risk entering the activation radius or having to wait for an engineer when it would be much easier to blow it up. Could you imagine a group of soldiers and medics waiting around for an engineer to come defuse a mine, that would make them easy pickings.

It doesn't look like they are highlighted beyond an outline, I can't speak on the usefulness of them yet but I can see many a person falling victim to them.

I get that it is only handy if someone steps on it. The point I was trying to make is no one is going to be stepping on it when it is going to be so easy to spot and destroy them thus making one of the cool dynamics of the game obsolete. If you watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIIK3uag8KA you can clearly see that that Operative is being led to where a mine is at. This significantly reduces the usefulness of Eng mines even possibly making them obsolete seeing as an Operative can simply select "find mines" as an objective and it directly take them to where mines where placed.

I cannot speak on the usefulness as of yet, but you are assuming that there will be operatives running around defusing mines left and right. I highly doubt this will be the case, I think mines will catch more people off guard than you think.

I cannot see a reason why they would not be if it is a mission on the Objective wheel meaning they will get even more points for selecting it.

Well, the reticule stays in the cneter of the screen so it shouldn't be too hard. And if a operative is getting shot at in disguise then Im pretty sure they will start shooting back.

Even if it is in the center of your screen if you have no reticule to align your shots going to make it difficult to get a jump on someone when you don't know if your shots are even going to hit them. If an operative is being shot in disguise that doesnt necessarily mean they are going to shoot back they do not loose there cloak until they are dead so if they so they act like they are a team and everything is fine they may get out of the situation for keeping there cool.
