O.k i know there are many people who prefer a different race over another but why. i prefer dark elf because it kick ass plus the 75% fire resistance is amazing and they make good bow mages

Nord and Dark Elf will inevitably come out on top. Bosmer, Redguard and Orc will be in bottom three

Why you ask? I suppose Dunmer have the best lore and people can relate to Nords... or at least they want to relate to Nords.

As for me, I choose Redguard because they are athletic

I play Ayleid ( I play Altmer but up the skin tone to a tan color to be Ayleid. In previous games before Oblivion I played Altmer except in Redguard, damn you Cyrus!!!) because of the bonus to magicka for my spellblade. I also play argonian but only for the looks not for the racial though argonian racials are useful.

I wonder if Dunmer will still have that much fire resistance with all the, you know, dragons breathing fire.

Nords. And not because it's set in Skyrim. My firsts (and favourite) chars in both MW and OB were also Nords.

And as secondary, Redguards.

Redguards are my favorite. Just a cool people in general, plus I prefer melee combat and "warrior" type characters, so they're pretty much perfect for me. Adrenaline Rush is fantastic, too.

Dunmer, especially now in Skyrim since they have that outcast refugee thing going on.

I like the outcast kinda characters. I was a bit like that growing up.

I played through OB with an argonian 3 or 4 times, and when I get MW I am going to try an argonian. So, Argonian.

Argonian. I've been a faithful argonian player since MW, and no matter how hard I try, I can't bring myself to choose any other race. Plus the 75% disease resistance and poison immunities are nice as well.
