Favorite ES expansion

Lore-wise I like Tribunal the best, but Bloodmoon is in my opinion better in terms of actual gameplay.

Seconded.

I agree with all three points here. Tribunal was like a follow up to the main quest and that made it awesome. Whereas Bloodmoon and Shivering Isles felt like their own stand alone games. Also awesome! Just all around awesome. :celebration:

KotN wasn't an expansion. Just sayin. :P
But, my favorite expansion in the TES series is by far Bloodmoon. An amazing expansion all around, quite possibly the most entertaining and fun bit of TES there has ever been.

Shivering Isles.
I first thought it was awesome going into a mad realm, but
Spoiler
being able to take place of Sheogorath and basically be leader of the mad realm
is just too awesome!

Tribunal was ok but that was about it. I would have liked it a lot more if it had been a more open area, it was just way too cramped and interior-focused for me.

Shivering Isles was very good, the atmosphere was great and all.. it just lacked something.. I dunno.. I guess it was just too demented for my generally good characters.

Bloodmoon was by far my favorite. I liked Bloodmoon about as much as Vanilla Morrowind. And I enjoyed BM's MQ more than Morrowind's MQ. I spent a whole lot of time on that island.

Tribunal was my favorite as it actually expanded on the original game. Plus the large scale of the dungeons, meeting the remaining Tribunal, Halseth and Barenziah, the DB, the Black Dart Gang, Gedna, High Ordinators, etc.

Bloodmoon was great but to me felt as if it was disjointed from the world of TES III, as if it was meant to be more of a game itself that fell short of the target.

Shivering Isles was also fantastic and succeeded more as an expansion where Bloodmoon failed, yet still had that disconnected feel. The design was more like an apology from the devs to give cookies (or shrooms) to all those going on about "generic" this or that in Oblivion.

Shivering Isles, definitely. I loved the characters--Sheogorath was a riot! :lmao: The terrain was magnificently beautiful and unique, and the creatures were interesting, just like the people. i enjoyed the main quest, though I think it's just tragic if you look at it closely... And the dimension of madness was excellent!
