Dear Bethesda

I dont even know if you will read this but if you do that i only wanted to say what everyone is thinking. I hope you remake Elder Scrolls 1 Arena and Elder Scrolls 2 Daggerfall for the Xbox 360 and Ps3. The reason why i am saying this is because for those of us that didnt get a chance to play it (because we were to young at the time or because it wont work on new computers) get a chance to play them on the new consols. It would really be apreciated if you remade them. It would also be good so that i can get caught up on the series because i really love oblivion and morrowind and i am so looking forward to Skyrim but i have no clue what happend in arena and daggerfall. Thats all i wanted to say now that i finally have an account i can finally say this. Anyways thanks.....Mobster

Anyway, it is a neat idea!

Use DOSBox.

I can handle any game's graphics from Daggerfall and above. But Arena is a little too outdated for me :confused:

Arena and Daggerfall are free downloads. I'm primarily a Playstation player, but I've got both Arena and Daggerfall on this laptop. Bethesda released them for free, and pretty much anyone's computer can run them. Bethesda doesn't seem to have the downloads on their site, anymore... not since Skyrim's announcement. However, the UESP has both, as far as I know. :shrug:

I'm not sure how these versions of the downloads work with DOSBox, so you may want to ask the people in the past games section on what to do, but there they are. Enjoy.

Those version Seti linked are pre-configured. Meaning you don't have to deal with Dosbox! Just download it, install it and play. (make sure you have Dosbox installed as well)

As for re-makes... both would be impossible due just to the world size. And honestly I wouldn't be interested. I'm not a fan of this new "re-make" mentality the gaming industry is having. Just continue the series instead of re-making previous ones or come up with new IP's.

I don't know for consoles, but I would like them to be made for Ipod/iPhone and the like. They would actually look good on a screen so small. And TES Travels too just to know what those games are all about... but it will never happen, I guess.

Daggerfall was only half-made to begin with, due to the insane ambitiousness of the project.. it would be awesome for them to go back with all the technology they have now, and create it as it was originally conceived.. it would never happen but it would be cool

I would prefer having these games on a PSP, because those graphics are outdated and would look like crap on a big tv. On a small PSP screen they would look nice.

They're not that bad on a Big TV. I play them on my laptop connected to my LCD screen.

honestly i just want the Morrowind to be redone for the 360 with blood moon too. just a graphics fix and maybe do the combat in oblivion and i would die a happy man. how ever if i cant have both then just the graphics

Bethesda would never do that.

Buy it on PC and install mods and use MGE... and there you go... updated graphics and OB-style combat.

it is not a question of they never would but just what i wish they would do plus i bet they would sell tons even if they did.

I doubt they would, definitely not as much as a new game.
Not many people would buy an old gme that you can play fine on your current pc if its only a graphic and combat fix.

I could actually see chance of Beth remaking them in the future, but only after all of the other provinces have been made into other games.

That would be a long wait though.

... I'd just like to see a game span the whole of Tamriel again. Take as damn long as you please to make it. Hell, some of us have been waiting years now just for the completion of mainland Morrowind! And that's not a -game-. It's a mod!

To be entirely honest... I wouldn't even care what time-period it fell into. I wouldn't even care all that much about the plot.

Just to see the whole of Tamriel... to be able to spend DAYS walking from one end of the place to the other... real time DAYS... I miss that kind of gaming.


It'll never happen again... those days seem to have gone far quicker than I would have hoped.

I would love to see them remake the older ones, but I'm convinced it won't happen because they are too busy making newer ones, like Skyrim. Nice idea, though.
