Cloth physics in the new trailer?

Post » Wed Feb 02, 2011 12:31 am

um, ur kidding right?
See: Batman arkham asylum. cloth physics were in that game and no slowdown.
i would like to see even a basic implementation of it in the game(if they don't already)

The problem is, we're not talking about one guy with a cape. We're talking about a city full of guys with capes, and full clothing. That's CPU intensive.

Care to take a look at that? The bones there are definitely animated.

It's quite possible to make the walk animation with skirts better than Oblivion without cloth physic, make bones in the skirt and animate them then walking, running or sitting down.
The flags might also simply be animated.

Not the best example, but this game is RIDDLED with cloth physics on flags, curtains that flap in the wind, etc....

A lot of it isn't physics but animations not procedural physics. Anyways RDR ....what about the top half? lawl.

Anyways just because the console versions can't handle it doesn't mean it shouldn't be included in the pc version. Just check out mafia 2 good stuff.

Yea, I mean if the consoles can handle at least animated cloth, why can't we get some animation support on at least robes?

I saw your other three posts.
I just disagree. It looks to me like the bones are moving with the creature's leg.

Then look again, right at the beginning of the scene.
