As for the sequel, if it's been in the editing stages since that e-mail a while back then it'll probably be better proofread than the first. I liked the first novel but there were a few typos and odd punctuations.

I can say I am pretty attached to TES game world in a whole but idk, iv had the book since a bit after release n i still have finished it because I went onto better books, this is just imo but i didn't care for it very much specially with that idk that right there had the lore/fantasy of TES games in it just didn't feel right..

EDIT: I still plan to finish this before the 2nd book comes out and will get the 2nd book as well whenever it is released

Yes, I agree. that did not feel very Elder Scrollsy to me. But then again this is a universe where the peoples love for a mortal turned God was the only thing holding up a giant floating rock and keeping them from destruction. ( Little good that did in the end though eh? :nuke: )

We don't know enough about their diaspora yet; maybe the novel's sequel will say more about the surviving Dunmer. We've heard that a number of them fled to Solstheim and the dev MK has said that the Nords on Solstheim helped these survivors. We haven't heard yet how extensive the damage was to mainland Morrowind. I hope we hear someday whether Helseth and Barenziah survived. Maybe there will be a new Pocket Guide to Empire with the game "Skyrim"?

Not quite. Not every Dunmer lived on that Island. It was only one of roughly six districts of Morrowind...however soon after it went bye-bye the Argonians were directed by the Hist to overrun what was left of Morrowind. There were many casualties and the Dunmer eventually scattered and abandoned their home lands. A lot of them ended up living on Solsthiem but I assume others went into Cyrodill, Valenwood and other nations.

Besides, it's not like they'll ever make another game set in Morrowind. Not until Elder Scrolls 9 or 10, at least.

Yeah. I am actualy shocked that the book is being released so close to the skyrim release. I thought the book would be available much sooner to keep the hype up.

It's funny, I was reading through this thread a couple of days ago. I've interested in the book for a while but haven't gotten around to getting it. Anyway, yesterday, while just looking through a bargain book shop, I find and for $5 no less. I like it so far. Not a great piece of literature by any means but entertaining and the characters are likable enough.

E: Finished the book and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. It was fun, mostly because I was sorta invested into the world. Shocking to see some of the developments that have occurred. Especially what happened to Vvardenfell. It was nice to see some Khajit as well, would like to see someone similar to Lesspa when Skyrim rolls around. Am a bit confused about what happened to the Mages Guild, forty years seems so soon. Did the new Arch Mage not last long? It's a shame after defeating Manimarco, to fall. This makes me question the other guilds, what happened to them.

On a side note, is all that occurred with the guilds in Oblivion considered canon? I know it's improbable to believe that one person did it all but were there four individuals who did what we did in the quests? Inquiring minds, haha.
