A small and odd request

Post » Wed Feb 02, 2011 1:00 am

This might seem strange and useless but I need a mod that brings up an image that covers the whole screen when a button is pressed and stays up until the button is pressed again. the image will be 1024X768 and it needs to cover everything, including the interface. This should be possible with OBSE, and I would do it myself if I knew how but I don't. If its trivial, could someone do it for me?
I don't really care what the key is as long as its out of the way and not already assigned.

Uhm... interesting. Do you want to play Oblivion at work? :hubbahubba:

I don't know if such a function exists, but I have my doubts ragarding the fact that such a thing can be managed by OBSE.

Not at work, but my little brother is scared of some parts of the game (he is six) so our parents don't let me play when he is around. Of course he checks up on me every five minutes to see if I am playing and if he sees that I am he won't leave me alone to play.

You could do this with OBGE, a shader and a plugin I think, if OBGEv2 still has the affect-the-hud flag when activating a shader.

Though I don't see the point, unless you are going to be playing Oblivion at work...

Why not just alt-tab out though? Sure it crashes sometimes, but it's much more realistic, especially if the person you're hiding from stays a while and notices that nothing on your screen has changed...

Much simpler just to change Oblivion.exe's icon (using win 7, that'd be enough, using anything else, and you may have to rename it too, not sure if that would cause problems though)

EDIT: Oh, well why don't you just lock the door or give him a distraction?

My parents don't let me lock the door if the computer is on incaseofpr0n. and alt-tab never works for me, it just doesn't do anything.

Lock him in a room without a computer then... :P

6 year olds are fairly distractable right? What about TV?

Just turn the monitor off when he's around and grab a book to make it look like you're only reading.
