how brink is way better

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 10:01 am

i pick these games for a reason 1. halo- for its close to similar but not good graphics and its futuristic game play. 2.black ops- because of the weapons customization and 3. assassins creed 2 or bh for the running aspect. try playing these games then come back and look at brink and tell me what you think then. thank you

I really thought of it as like Team Fortress 2 with some elements form Mirror's Edge.

I honestly don't understand how people see Team Fortress. This game only has 4 classes, not 9. Well I guess because the fact that their are heavy and light body types(heavy & scout). Also the ultra-realistic toon style of Brink and TF2

As for Halo, to be honest, I don't even a smidgen (lol smidgen) of Halo in Brink. The same with ACB but I never played that game so I wouldn't know ^_^

Its like Borderlands for art style and rpg elements. Its like Mirrors Edge for the parkour. annnnddd like W:ET for classes annnddd TF2 annnnddd like cod for guns/aiming (iron sight) annnddd halo for ummm longer kill times. idk lol its not really like halo.

Its okay OP
Im a MASSIVE Halo fan too. But i have to admit, there are few things that remind me of our beloved Halo in Brink.
Thats why im taking such a liking to Brink.. Because its not another CoD or battlefield or Halo, or anything =D

I'd agree on the TF2/Borderlands for graphics, CoD for the customization options, Mirror's Edge for the parkour, Assassin's Creed for the storyline, and Halo for the epicness.

Maybe in some aspects. Generally most FPS's are similar in small doses but I don't see any big similarities between any of the games listed there.

I voted "other"

Closest match would be the Enemy Territory games.

Quick question to the OP: Why'd you skip anything previously done by SD?

Halo: In the sense that it takes more then 3 shots to down an enemy.
Borderlands: Artistic style, Bit more detailed
Mirrors Edge: The movement, Obviously.

The only other aspect would be the customization. But compared to games out currently, Brink is on a whole new level. There is just no comparing that.

He's an Xbox player. As a PS3 player myself, I had never heard of Splash Damage before I found Brink.
Anyway, Brink is really only close to Mirror's Edge and Bad Company 2 in any way.
