Two Business Days Before Release. Where are the Reviews?

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 10:07 pm

I learned that critic reviews do matter especially after not researching various reviews before my purchase of Homefront. I am excited for Brink and want this game to be as good as it sounds and looks. However, I am truly concerned about the lack of reviews that can be found online. I would think that with two business days left before the release that some reviews might be seen by now. Again, speaking of reviews and not previews. Generally, if a company knows that their game will receive good reviews they will allow the release of a couple of reviews by now. Anyone know of any true reviews out yet? Found nothing on metacritic.

If anyone gets word of any reviews for Brink PRIOR to release day please post them here and let us all know. Thanks for your help.

Perhaps they are under NDA before May 10th.

I find that reviews for games don't start appearing until the day before release, and that's at the earliest. Sad, but true.

You'll probably start seeing European reviews crop up on Monday and American reviews start trickling in throughout the rest of the week. Since this game isn't exactly a "AAA" title marked on everyone's calendar like LA Noire, I wouldn't expect too many reviews right away.

Don't know about reviews, and mostly don't care. Most reviews I've read/seen don't match to how I feel about the games, thus they are pretty irrelevant to me. Maybe made me pass on some games I might have liked.

Also, WTH is LA Noire?

Generally they have embargos.. A lot of PR have been embargoing us recently to not put up reviews until a certain time on launch day. Method behind this being "People are better being able to go straight out and buy"

Personally I think it's silly as you need for prepurchases and pre-orders!
