Clothing is not tied to a class, because a character isn't tied to a class. You can change classes multiple times in a match, but your look will stay the same.
Usually with Gamestop it is printed on the receipt. Other stores may do it differently. I don't believe anyone knows where it will be at the moment.

Thanks
Does anyone know who has pre-ordered and has a receipt from Gamestop, Best Buy, or Walmart?
I have preordered from Gamestop. It is not on the preorder receipt, usually isn't. If it is on the receipt, it will be on the receipt you get when you pick it up.
Sorry, I didn't mean to imply it will be on your receipt. I meant to say if it is on the receipt, it will be on the receipt you get you when you pick it up, not the preorder receipt.
Bestbuy.com says it will be an in box preorder bonus (the code will come packaged with the game), but it's hard to say for sure and the store sites I have been to don't have a bonus listed at all, so I'm not sure.
I've ordered a physical copy from Amazon, when I pre-ordered it told me "Access code will be e-mailed within two business days after your order ships," otherwise when you pick it up at Gamestop or something like the others said usually it's on the receipt.
So I just watched an Unboxing video so I could answer this question. The person made no mentioned of a preorder code, and I didn't see one in the box. This by no means is a definitive answer, but it does mean we are leaning towards it being on the receipt.
