[RELz] BladeSong V1.0

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 10:34 am

I have focused on the 3 main issues brought up by a few people, and have updated the support area on the website to include console command fixes which should get most people past the problem and moving on in the quest line.

A new area to the In Game Problems And Solutions has been added to the website, which can be found at the bottom section of the topic. Direct link to page : http://bladesong.homestead.com/Support.html

The fixes included :

Quest not updating when activating Tess in her home during a *particular* scene.

Tess not following the player at a certain point.

Getting stuck during the black screen loading sequence while sleeping at your tent.

These fixes will be in BladeSong V1.1, and it is taking longer than expected to produce this new version, so I hope these console fixes work for most people that are having these issues for now.

Lastly, it is odd that only certain users are experiencing these issues, while so many are not. I am still not able to replicate almost all of these issues on my end, and most of the fixes are 'backups' to ensure these sorts of things simply cannot happen.

I'm working steady at getting Version 1.1 out, it should not be long.

I do thank you for your patience.

After the scene was over she stood beside my char with her hand raised as if she would caress someone who wasn't there. So I thought it should have been a kiss scene of some sort. In short, no idea what happened as my chars view was locked and she didn't see anything.

I was also wondering about this... I experienced the same thing. It's not supposed to be that way is it? :unsure2:

Except for that I think it was an excellent mod.

I'm also having the problem of tess not following me. I've tried all the console commands listed on the support page. Guess I'll just wait for version 1.1 then.

Is there any way to modify her disposition toward the player?..I would just like her to smile a bit. Using "getdisposition", the console reports that her disposition toward the player is 50. I used "moddisposition" to up it to 75 and she smiled for about a millisecond then frowned again. Using "getdisposition" again shows that she quickly reverts back to a disposition of 50. A charm spell has a similar effect. I also unchecked "no persuasion" in the CS and tried a mod I have to activate persuasion, but neither of them worked either. Is her fixed disposition part of a script, or something?

Just wanted to voice my support for this mod, I really really enjoyed it. This is more the type of romance quest I have been waiting for. It would be awesome if you decided to further flesh out the relationship that has developed with Tess in a future version.
Keep up the good work!

This is the second report of this issue now. I am sorry this happened. Can I ask, are you running Obse v0018 or greater? Just to be sure, because in that exact area is where a few commands are used from Obse 18, which was the only reason for the requirement, of course with a lower version, that script would fail.

No, its not at all. If you take a look at the user image pics on Nexus for BladeSong, that is what the normal result is.

It is an issue with Non Shivvering Isles users, and is already addressed in V1.1 .

There is but one bug left I want to attempt to fix in V1.1 before release of it, an issue mentioned by a few people on Nexus, and then it is finished. There may be a further update later beyond that, but this update is a biggie, gets rid of some random issues that are definitely getting some people permanently stuck in the quest line.

Apologies for taking so long for the update, been working late alot lately, but V1.1 is almost ready to go. :)

At sornan's request I removed a number of posts that contained major spoilers. If you have information to discuss that will involve spoiling the mod for others could you send it via PM. Thanks.

BladeSong V1.1 Released

The main description has been updated.

Also, the .Esp and Distant Lod files are now a separate download from the main base content files. This is to properly facilitate this update for many that already have BladeSong installed, and to properly allow for further updates in the future as well. The Main Content file will likely remain permanently unchanged, and only the .Esp files may be updated if there is another update in the future.

Version 1.1 :

Fixed : Rare random issue with getting stuck while sleeping at the camp.

Fixed : Many major issues with companion for Non Shivvering Isles users.

Fixed : Removed chance of player being killed during a certain scene due to mods used.

Added : BladeSong will now notify the player if they are not running Obse, or not running version 0018 or higher.

Updated : Readme And Description updated to include the need for having Screen Effects version 1.0 .

Updated : After the main quest line is completed in BladeSong, if one desires to keep BladeSong active and runs into another quest mod that also uses of the town of Aleswell, you can now use the following console command to reverse changes made to the town : SetStage RestoreChangesDl 10

Also addressed is the potential for the allied campfire flame to not show for Non - Shivering Isles users, I was not able to confirm this issue even exists on my end, but due to the concern of its potential existence for other players, it has been addressed.

Those that are updating your V1.0 to V1.1, please read the Readme Attached, or the updated BladeSong description here, there are a few bits of important information, especially regarding what save games from v1.0 are safe to use after the update.

It's been a long and trying road to get this update out, and I thank everyone who has been waiting for it for their patience.
