Nature's Calling

Altas began to grow bored as an hour passed by. Why did I volunteer for this again? He blew heat into his hands and noticed that his breath was visible in the cold air. He looked around and his ears perked up as he heard some rustle over by the camp. He looked back and could make out the shape of a racoon by the fire. Hmm, wonder what the little guy is doing over there. I guess it wouldn't hurt to talk to him. He communicated telepathically to the raccoon, an ability he had mastered over the years, and an abililty he used when roaming around as Talis. "Hey little guy. What do you think you're doing?" was the message he sent through his head into the racoon's.

The raccoon visibly recoiled when the man's message transferred into it's head, lowering itself swiftly from its standing position onto all fours and backtracking cautiously. Large black eyes watched the man, fire reflecting in it.

"Hey little guy. What do you think you're doing?" The man's voice was somehow familiar. But what about it seemed familiar? In fact, everything was familiar. The smell of the woman, the touch of her metals. She continued to back up until there was no more room, and turned to look over her shoulder.

It was a horse's leg. She stepped forward again to avoid the horse and looked up. It was looking back down at her. "This really isn't all that healthy for you." This voice too seemed familiar, but it was more familiar and more feminine than the previous voice. Still, she stepped away, then looked at the man, uncertain. This was unusual for her. And she needed to find food.

The raccoon looked again between the horse and Altas, before darting off into the forest underbrush.

Poor guy, he must have got scared when I tried to talk to him. Or maybe it's a girl? Heh. Altas rubbed his hands together desperate for warmth. Man it gets so cold at night sometimes. I think my shift should be over by now. Better go wake up Shen. He walked over to where Shen was sleeping and shook his arm. "Hey, my shifts over. Get up. It's pretty cold too so, just to let you know..."

Amynd sauntered around the camp occasionally glancing into the woods for any sign of movement. He loved the night, he had trained himself over the years to be mostly nocturnal, pattering his sleep to maximise the amount of time he had to work. Despite this with the days events he was getting tired and abandoned his patrol to lean against the tree that had been the source of the days exertions where he still had a good view of the area but did not have to walk endlessly.

OOC wow I thought you'd be on the third thread by the time I got back... :P

IC
Ben lay on the outer edges of the grove, wrapped tightly in a blanket which he'd extracted from his pack. It was cold and he lay there watching his breath condense into small clouds above his head, he hadn't introduced himself properly as yet and he felt slightly awkward in the company of so many total strangers. It was because of this that he'd kept quiet, despite the fact that he could easily guide the group to any Wayshrine in Cyrodil, after years of escorting pilgrims between them. That however, was a secondary concern, to what really worried him and what was keeping him awake, even though he was quite comfortable lying in the grass, was that he hadn't heard Kynareth's latest message, what he knew he'd picked up from the others so he had a vague idea where they were headed, yet his inability to hear the Goddess worried him;
They all seemed to hear the voice... why didn't I? was it something I did?
Ben had no idea, though he hoped it was just because of inexperience.

OOC: Sorry about that guys, new years and rl got in the way, and my raiding times in WoW is conflicting a bit, so should be all good for now..

IC: It was nightfall, and it was obviously past midnight, Kynareth's message was heard hours ago, the full moon in the night sky was shining brightly, Shen sat there besides the campfire facing Adeth, briefly explaining and going over who him, Shen and the others were, about the druid's heritage etc. (sorry for laziness) During the explaination though, a howling was heard, the sound of the howling was somewhat like a dog or a wolf, "Arooo!" It howled.

Shen panicked a bit, he looked around at several directions curious of who and what was making the howling, "howling?" Shen asked, "Could it be, are they coming, now, soon, when?" he added, the howling then died down a bit, and it was no longer heard, "Eh.. never mind, must've been wolves just howling to one pack or another," he said, remaining calm.

Altas looked at Shen who looked worried about the wolves. "Yeah, agreed. I wouldn't worried to much about it. Now you going to take my post or what?" Altas said with a smile. "Oh, and it's damn cold out there."

OOC: Hopefully this isn't dead, I'm trying to revive it. ;)

OOC: well we could just start the new threat right now and skip the remaining of the night now that almost everyone has sleeping characters (All I can do now is make a post about Desmond dreaming, nothing more so that won't do much good for the storyline or the character interaction)

OOC:Alright, Pandar I hope you don't mind but I will just assume your char took the night post.

IC: Altas awoke the next morning with a yawn. Some of the others were awake and some were still sleeping. Altas stood and stretched, and patted down his hair. "Cold night." Altas said trying to start a conversation. "Umm, so anyone know when he head off to these wayshrines?" Altas said looking around, talking to anyone who was listening.

Is anyone still really interested in this Rp? Because I loved it and don't want to see it die.

sorry but I'm having trouble wwriting a good long post but yes I'm still interested, and I think others are too but I think Pandar should just post the second thread so we have a fresh start becasue it seems no one want's to start a new conversation or a new action with this little posts left.

OK let's make that IC post:

Cold... Desmond had left at the first sunshine to get rif of that horrible cold in his body, half asleep he made his way to the stream to warm up in the light of the sun, the warmth was comfortable and he didn't care that he was lying on the ground without anything for bed, he became relaxed and fell asleep again at the small steam that ran through the forrest...

If someone were to go to the stream they would find Desmond in a rather, different condition then they might be used to, for at the stram lay not the young man. But a big greyish crocodile, laying near the steam in it's full 15 feet of armored scales. Basking in the sun and sleeping untill he was warm to become more active...

OOC: I know it's not much but atleast people got something to roleplay about if someone goes to the stream to wake up with cold water or something.

OOC: Hey it's something, but my last post kind of requires others to answer. And unfortunately I don't think this Rp is going anywhere until Pandar gets back. I think the main reason this has died is because he hasn't been on for two weeks. Hopefully the others will join back, and keep it going til Pandar gets back.

well if it has indeed died I'll ask Pandar if I can take the corpse and make my own version, I really like this idea and I think my version would do well enough, but I won't go sell the bear's hide before I've shot it so let's just hope this will get going again

Not to keep you all in the shadows... But I think Pandar has lost his interest + this rp has lost its momentum or w/e.

I woudn't mind if you made the new Rp now Cirith, I mean Pandar hasn't been on for two weeks so I don't think you'll get the chance to ask him any time soon. And this Rp is pretty much dead, I didn't really like the idea of going to all the wayshrines either.

Nope agreed. Do with it what you can to rescue it Cirith, for I fear Pandar has lost interest.

Eh.. I haven't lost interest, lol, I figured it died myself. Well, if you want Cirith, go for it, mate. If not, I'll re-edit the plot for this RP, and maybe better luck will happen next time.
