A lot of this might be wrong. The dude who made the video said he has leveled up quite a lot, so he could have done some of the challenges as well.

Considering the video shows at least one item to be unlocked by completing the one star version of each challenge, I'm guessing he hadn't done so yet.

Also, OP, you might want to recheck your writeup - you're swapped between "Be More Objective" and "Use More Objective" several times.

I thought the same thing, but i think that their only unlocked by the challenges. i may be wrong but this is the most accurate info we have right now.

Im pretty new here, and Ive gone over most vids, but what exactly does

Ritchie- Be More Objective "1 star"

Mean? You get a certain number of stars based on performance during said mission? I ask because as a gamer graduating from BFBC2's REX, I will NOT be complete until I have the Ritchie.

I think 1 stars means you completed it on the first level. Each challenge has 3 levels or stars.
