Oh, you meant the raw shot. Oblivion makes BMP files which are just fine to me :)

I think I liked the PNGs better after comparing Fraps screenies with those of the vanilla game. I only use Oblivion's screenshot feature when I forget to run Fraps (which is not infrequent) or when I need to take diagnostic shots, haha.

As soon as I downloaded and installed 4.6b my power went out here in the Maryland area because of a big storm we had and just now came back on. At least i was able to check to see if the game would load before the power went out. Can't wait to get back to playing this.

Are the Origin of the Mages Guild and The Elder Council compatible with this mod

There is a compatibility patch that was just released for Origin of the Mages Guild. There is none for The Elder Council, but I'm playing with both along with Better Cities and I haven't seen any problems, though I am not very far in either mod. I can say the revamped Elder Council chambers and all of its parts are accessible (I think).

Has compatibility with TIE Intergration Revised been checked? I'm using version 1.2 and I found an incompatibility with it. In the IC Market District an additional entrance to the sewers right in front of Red Diamond Jewelry is slightly under the ground, blocked by the ground but able to be activated. I found it by pure chance because the grate is right next to some flax plants from Better Cities that are slightly sunken into the ground; I assumed that was intentional for the visual effect, until I tried to harvest them and suddenly ended up in the sewers. Seems like TIE In shifts the ground there down slightly when adding the grate. FormID Finder says the grate is added by "TIE In.esp" (which I guess means its not added by TIE In's many compatibility patches) in cell (8,16) and position (34798, 68730, 3518).

I have the previous version of BC installed. Do I need to download the three packs again? Is there a smaller install file that has all the changes since the last update?

A patch has been made for the version 7.3 of Origin of the Mages Guild. There is no need of patch for The Elder Council.

We ensured some time ago, with Arthmoor and Veritas Secreto that TIE secret entrance where compatible with Better Cities, Open Better Cities and Open Cities Classic. There is no reason to suppose that this compatibility has been changed. Isn't it Arthmoor?

Sorry but there is no other way. We did lot of changes in this new version of the esp and the packaging of the resources has been changed so that people wont have the reconstruct the resources archive but just use the 2 packs as is.

Upgrading from an older version. Do I have to completely uninstall the old version of Better Cities or can I just install the new version and overwrite over the old version?

Overwriting should be just fine. Just don't forget pieces... We mostly only have plugins and bsa which are easy to replace. There is no need to check all the meshes and textures folder to make sure you did remove every old piece.

I found a problem with the "Hollowed out stump" in the Imp city market district (for the DB quest). The stump is acting like a static and not showing any information when I try to activate it by normal means. Have you tried leaving the city, saving & quitting to desktop, then loading and returning to the Market District? It's possibly just a temporary glitch.

I installed everything with BAIN but I have some minor gliches in IC:

*A bandit spawining inside the Library map room, in upper Talos Plaza

*Black water in the Public bathing house gardens in IC Market district

*Some bushes with black textures in the Public bathing house gardens, always in IC Market district

I didn't post any screenshot because I saw some about the same problems in earlier posts

edit: the bandit spawning isn't a glitch, I just read the note!

i have a slight problem, not sure if i encountered this before, but the pathing is horrible? Pretty sure i'm not loading anything after BC to alter the pathing of npcs..which seems to be what the problem is, unless bc itself has major pathing issues? As in, ie on the waterfront all the guards, npcs are just walking towards the walls, it's the most severe pathing problem i've found in the IC. Any ideas why this may be the case?

@Dhamon: Black indicates missing normal maps for textures. That does not make sense if you did not alter BC's packaging. How many mods are you running, actually, please post your load order through Wrye Bash.

um sort of an addon mod that goes with Elsweyr, tbh i actually don't know and haven't played that part yet, it does something around the leyawiin region i believe, boss didn't recognize it though, i put it there manually to check coz it was loading after BC, and it still didn't fix the problem ( same goes with AC and AD). Have you tried deactivating it? Actually, I did not see that BCIC was loading afterward. I really do not see anything conflicting with it, but run TES4View and check the IC districts to see if anything make some unexpected edits to the IC.

Well, the only altering I made was the renaming of the master dependence of "Better Cities - TIE Restricted Area.esp":
From "Tie.esp" to "Tie In.esp"(I'm using the Integration version for FCOM). But I don't thing that's the problem, I guess.

And I assure I didn't touch the packages, since they where ready to BAIN installer.

Use RefScope to identify the files (that are missing normal maps.)

Have you tried leaving the city, saving & quitting to desktop, then loading and returning to the Market District? It's possibly just a temporary glitch.

I will try that when I get home. I don't think it will help reason is that I noticed this about a month ago when I had a full load of mods running and I tried to Isolate what mod was causing the problem never did get it worked out So since I am rebuilding Oblivion I loaded BC as the first unofficial mod. I tested the stump before install just to be sure that it was and active then I entered copius coin did a save and then exit and install BC and tested and found problem was same as before (at that time I had tried over several different days and after doing several quests). But when I get home will save at the sewer entrance Exit to desktop and and then reenter and head to market district just to be sure.

yes, StealthOverhaul, Cobl.esp requires normal StealthOverhaul.esp just check Oblivion Nexus if you want be sure

I just installed RefScope, but it didn't evidence those items whose maps were missing (the water and the bushes)
I'm going to provide screenshots
edit: I'm just unable to make screenshots right now O_o
but here are the screenshots of other users, that's the same glich I have

We do not affect or transform water or vegetation but just use them. There is some other mod that you are using that is doing this to the vines. And as for the water, it may be a shadder matter? I don't know. We can't fix issue we don't have sadly. While we use the game water we certainly do not change it anywhere...

i have a slight problem, not sure if i encountered this before, but the pathing is horrible? Pretty sure i'm not loading anything after BC to alter the pathing of npcs..which seems to be what the problem is, unless bc itself has major pathing issues? As in, ie on the waterfront all the guards, npcs are just walking towards the walls, it's the most severe pathing problem i've found in the IC. Any ideas why this may be the case?


Pathing is all correct in BC. Either another mod has overridden the pathgrids, or the NPCs are just being stupid (which does sometimes happen). Sometimes NPCs fail to notice the pathgrids and try to head in a straight line to wherever they want to go, regardless of obstacles in the way. I would think this could be resolved by leaving the area for a time, then returning to see if they've remembered where to walk.

You can view the pathgrids in-game by opening the console and typing "tpg"

I've not seen those screenshots before. The water in the bath house is just vanilla water, so if it's turned black it's either due to a water mod with a mistake, a lighting mod with a mistake, a shader mod with a mistake, or a glitch in your game. The water is normal blue in there typically.
I cannot see what the problem is in the screenshot of a tapestry.
The trees in the garden above the bath house are just vanilla trees, so if they've turned black it's either due to a tree/texture overhaul mod with a mistake, a lighting mod with a mistake, a shader mod with a mistake, or a glitch in your game. The trees are normal green in there typically. They look nice too.
