Replacing Night Eye Shader

I have downloaded Timeslip's Night Eye Shader replacement and want to install it. I have been away from Oblivion for a while now and remember that if you didn't do something right the land would turn purple. I think it was one of the later patches that did this. Can someone give me a referesher on the correct way to install it without a big headache? I have OBMM.

That mod is an OMOD. Just dump it in Data folder and double-click it. It should open OBMM and activate it.

The issue was that if you had a mod that changed the shaders (as a Night Eye Shader replacement) and then patched the game to 1.2.0416 (which updated the shaders) you'd get weird graphical artifacts. Adding it to a patched game is safe.
