Obscuros Oblivion Overhaul Mod Problems

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 10:12 pm

When I first used Obscuros Oblivion Overhaul (in conjunction with the Akatosh Mount Mod, no compatability problems though) I noticed somehting odd. I started a new game, made a character, and guess what, Renault's mesh is missing! Instead, a tranparent sign with '!' mark on it just fills her spot. It moves and everything! The same goes for all female Imperial Gaurds, Blades members, "Guardians of Oblivion" (all female). WTF!! Works fine except for these minor details. A little help here. (although I could probably just put the meshes of these NPCs back somehow...hmmmm)

Are you using the EXE installer version on Vista or 7? If so, you need to install it once without choosing any options, then again choosing what you want. The reason you're getting a ! is because your missing textures due to a faulty or incorrect installation.

Thats not the only problem. Using OOO I have noticed some really odd things. Much stuff in the Arch-Mages quarters are missing (the room is filled with them). The font of Madness in Sheogorath's Palace (I AM Sheogorath) is missing stuff too. I'll get back to here with more later. I'll keep searching for any other problems, if any. Other than the meshes and textures problem, it runs fine. Its just wierd with the above stuff happening though...and I have Windows 7 yes and used the installer...

It's not only an OOO problem then. For one thing, OOO doesn't touch SI. As for OOO, make sure you install the complete resources from 1.33 and not only the patch. Also, check the Known issues part of the opening post. Also double check your female mesh replacer install.

Reinstall OOO 1.33 via the complete archive, which is OMOD-Ready. Do not use the installer. It sounds like you have other things incorrectly installed in your setup as well. Please, post your load order - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=know_how_to#PostYourLoadOrder

Reinstall OOO.
