Looking For Modelling Practice

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 12:04 pm

I've been practising my skills in 3D modelling, so I think it's time I put them to the test.
I have nothing of my own that needs modelling, so I was hoping to take a few suggestions from people or to help someone out.

So, any ideas?

You might want to check out http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?. The site is devoted to modders and has schools in Scripting, Voice Acting, Modeling, Texturing, and several others. Most of the modelers there use Blender and the Modeling School has Blender classes specifically for creating content for Oblivion. There is an active community of modelers using Blender or 3ds Max that take requests. There is also a Clutter's Guild where you can contribute finished models that will become available as modder's resources. You might fit right in. So, stop by. :)

Thanks for that. I'll be sure to check it out.

We could need some help for our project, another modeler would be great! Take a look at our projects alpha version at tesnexus http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31203, and our thread http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1100237-wipz-elsweyrs-kingdom-of-rimmen-thread-4/.

Take a look at Mesogea also, I will help you with the modelling and provide some models for you to practice on if you want. What program do you use?

I use C4D to model and UV map, then I export to 3DS (which I don't currently have installed) to add collision data and then export as .nif.
