No. Almost all console games don't, very few do, but brinks p2p will be high quality, low lag, because they have good netcode, don't worry bro, buy the game.

First of all, thanks for the answer. It os very usefull to me.

Sorry, but I do not understand how a game based in on line mode can be released without dedicated servers. Even with very good code there will be lag, some players will have best conection than others, host will disconect if they are loosing... No, thanks, I tried this method in other games and I do not enjoy it. Also, I do not understand why if the consoles version is more expensive than PC version, it is not possible implement dedicated servers on console. If they do not respect console players, I am not going to buy their game.

Bye bye Brink. A pity.

I'm sorry that you feel that way, but P2P works well in some console games, and they already said there will be host migration, so if the host leaves, the game will continue. It will be your loss if you decide not to buy it.

You act as though P2P games never work, though just about every single game has them. Why deprive yourself of a fantastic experience because there might be "lag" every once in a while.

Especially on consoles. If you really want dedicated servers, go to the PC.

If thats how you feel on the matter, not even willing to give a game a chance before completely blowing it off, then bye bye to you too.

Reading you, I understand why they do not need implement dedicated servers on console. ""lag" every once in a while."? I do not think so. Try any game without dedicated servers and then, tell me if it is a great experience or not. Ask about it to any PC gamer (who paid less than us). If everyone knows it, and also everyone know that dedicated servers are indespensable for a great online experience, I can understand why you are defending this option. Anyway, It dont mind. It is your choice (of course I respect it), and I have my own. As you told, bye bye also for you. Maybe the next time :'(

Even dedicated severs have issues look at MAG and Homefront. They do not completely cure the lag problems nothing can there will always be problems with this dedicated servers or not.

There will be host migration, so when the host leaves another host will be used without ending the game.

p2p works fine locally, don't play people on the otherside of an ocean and your good. pc's can offer dedicated as they generally offer drop in drop out gameplay.. consoles generally make you join games at the beginning and dont replace anyone who drops out.

also console games are not exactly run under windows or linux, the recent sony problems are a good example of why sony and microsoft don't want the general populace on their networks and giving them tools to host dedicated servers on that network is not the wisest of ideas. that leaves the developer/publisher having to foot the costs of hosting dedicated servers. if you sell 4,000,000 copies and expect even 1/8th of that online at once you need about 32,000 servers. you can offer dedictaed hosting on pc's because anyone can host a server.

to do true dedicated hosting in the same way for the consoles would require a secondary console and another copy of the game to run as a server. i'd support such a thing. a cheap secondhand x360 with brink in it leave it at work after hours as long as it could run 3-5 servers simulatneously. one per core would be nice. but it's probably been deemed to costly and unnecesary. it was possible on return to castle wolfenstein for the xbox
