The "big evil dragon" is Alduin is Akatosh. We cannot kill Alduin.

He's a god! How can you kill a god?!

If anything we'll be disabling him or just stopping his seemingly-inevitable destruction of the Mundus. Or something else. Hell, I don't know. Better be a good explanation for it though.

I think most of the people posting in this thread no NOTHING of TES lore and dragons.

In TES lore dragons are VERY intelligent beings who are capable of communicating with humans. In the past dragons and humans have helped each other.

Darogns in Skyrim should not all be "Evilllll!!!1" They should be treated as the intelligent beings they are, capable of good and bad

I am hoping that we wil meet a few who are not evil, and later on with the story end up helping our character, it would add depth to the cliche "Dragons are eviilll!!1, kill em all!" that most fantasy games do, and it's fitting with the lore rather then writing it off.

These aren't the red dragons of lore. For one thing they are black. These are the servants of Alduiin, they maybe intelligent, but they will do what their master bids.

I'm not against running into a red dragon and having a conversation with it, but until I get confirmation red dragons are in it's open season on all dragons.

Because there's some men that don't have a real reason for doing what they do. They can't be bribed, reasoned with, or threatened. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

/End dark knight reference

First off, racist? Really? As the moderator said earlier in this topic, the word you're looking for is speciest.

If the dovahkin descriminates versus dragons, well, some stereotypes evolved for a reason. Let me give you an example.

"Oh hai lion! A lion ate my brother once, but I'm too 'progressive' to think you might eat me. Let me walk up and pet you."

What a grand and intoxicating innocence. How could you be so naive? There is no escape, no recall or intervention can work in this place. Come, lay down your weapons, it is not too late for my mercy, hahahaha.....

Lol sorry, I saw that line and couldn't help myself.

I'm down with a chance of diplomacy for those players who which to pursue it. & For all beings who can be reasoned with, not just dragons.

The Creation of the world weakened the Aedra and so they are able to die, but we don't know how that death can come about. Maybe by consuming the world, Alduin is retrieving his lost powers and immortality. Nirn is one screwed up world to live in.
