Online Creation Kit?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:01 pm

All the console gamers know that the PC version of the game is superior because of the user-created mods. Yes, I know that there is no way to have mods on the console, but I still think it would be cool if they had an online version of the mod kit. Just like the one the PC users mod the game with, but online so console users can mess around with it- even though they will not be able to move it to the console. Not only is it just fun to create new stuff- whether you can use it or not- but the mods could also be used by PC users. More mods = more life expectancy for the game. Discuss!!!!

I don't really know how that is possible without giving people access to the entire game online. It would also make it so the people who made those mods would not be able to test play them in-game, meaning any mod released in that situation would be buggy and just a mess.

It would be a ton of work and effort and I just don't see the point. Very very few people would want to make mods that they could not use or test or do anything with.

There is already a topic discussing this http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1160482-console-mod-dlc-possibility/. Let's use it.

We like seeing the mods that are made by the community, but we have no plans to make them available as official releases.

Similar to Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3, the tools for Skyrim are PC only. There's no plans to release a version of the Creation Kit on consoles. If you're into modding, we suggest you go for the PC version.
