Any good mod compiliations?

That means anybody who is using mods for Oblivion, it must not be working, right? I see on these forums the huge lists of mods that one person is using, but with you logic you bolded up there, the game must not be working, right? What kind of logic does it make that one person can have a bunch of mods in their game and it works alright for them, but as soon as they give it to someone else it wont work? That makes no sense.
It actually makes perfect sense.

Say this person has a super-powerful computer that can run anything that they throw at it. And then someone decides to download their mod list, line for line. Guess what? That person's computer will probably slow to a crawl / crash because the mods push the computer too far. Or the person may install the mods incorrectly and really screw up his Oblivion install. Or - and this is important - the main reason people even post their Load Orders is because they are having a problem and want it to be fixed.

As it seems Fileplanet has a mod pack indeed. And it mentions nothing about receiving permission for using the included mods, just that it gives credits to the mod author. Maybe it's in the readme somewhere, but I refuse to download 250 MB just to check out a readme. If I didn't like Fileplanet/PlanetElderscrolls before, I like them even less now. Glad I don't host my mods there. :flamethrower:

Mod Complation are frowned upon this forum, has it has been stated the reason why and good luck in getting support for the mod complation on this forum. has everyone knows now that you are using it.

Most Modders do not support their work outside of their own mod once again. If you need assitance you know where to look once again, not on this forum.

You still have to learn even using that mod complation no matter how easy he makes it seem. You still have to learn the basic once again.

And before this thread can get out of hand, I can see it going that way. Going to request a lock.

False, and the major mod sites would take down your compilations as soon as the complaints started coming in.

This community has rules. One of the big ones is that you need express consent to redistribute any modder's work, period, end of discussion. There is nothing else for it - you need to get permission, ahead of time, and if you don't get it, you can't use it. It doesn't matter if the author's not posted in years, it doesn't matter how great your mod would be, it doesn't matter how much you think the author would probably like it - you may not do so.

Seriously, modding is a technical hobby that requires that you know what you're doing. If you're too lazy to learn, why the hell should anyone help you?

Learn how to install mods, or stop whining. No one cares about how lazy you'd like to be, nor does anyone sympathize with your inability to get what you want while being so.

Well in this case, this mod compilation is being done outside of the community, it is a private release that is password protected. The only reason why I got the password is because I have a friend who is a long time member of the forum that this compilation is at, my friend didn't even tell me about it till after I posted this thread and found about the mod myself and then I asked him about it. Basically the compilation is for people who frequent that forum, or were able to find out about it themselves like me.

The community rules don't really apply with this, since it is being done outside of the community.

Then best not discuss it with this community. Do not bring this up again on these forums thanks.
