Wrye Morph crashing issues

At first, I had a load order of 159 ESP files, including Wrye Morph. I went to start the quest for it by activating the corpse in Fatback Cave, and it would seem normal for a second. I'd get pushed back, the shader would appear on my character, I'd cast a spell automatically due to the script, and then the annoying part, a crash. I then reduced my load order to barely anything, still witnessing the same crash every time.

I'm stumped as to how I'm supposed to fix this. The good old way of disabling one mod at a time seemed to be a good idea, but then I did it for an hour while testing the same crash scenario after every 4 or so mods being disabled, and it still happened every time no matter what I did. Anybody have an idea what's wrong? If any more information is necessary, I can provide it.

Edit: I think I've fixed it. Wrye Morph was made using an archaic version of Pluggy, so Dev v132 is incompatible with it and caused the crashing. v125b works fine. Now to load my 158 other mods back up and hope it works!

just saw this post - and yes I had the same trouble using Pluggy 1.32 dev with
Wrye Morph. The strange thing is, I could've sworn I read other post somewhere
that ARE using 1.32 with Wrye Morph. I guess it depends also on the other mods
one is using. BTW I searched in vain for Pluggy versions between 1.25b and 1.32
to test out. I guess 1.25b is sitll the current non-dev release anyhow.

Also wrye mash has many requirements and strict guidelines as far as no custom classes or mod added races.

I'd contact haama for other pluggy devs.

good idea, I'll do that. I did find 1.30dev months ago and I think it had the crash too so it may have something to do with the change in using a .pluggy file or not (which I think happened at 1.29.) But as you said there are strict requirements too.
