Dwarven Armor and Weapons

but really, just because the "wearer hardly notices the bulk" doesnt mean that it was meant as armor for the wearer. it doesnt say simply "a matched set" (of armor, created for this purpose) but "a matched set from an intact mechanism," a mechanism being "a device consisting of a piece of machinery; has moving parts that perform some function." unless Dwemer built Gundams i take it to mean that the armor is made from Dwemer machines, "golems", but happens to fit a human well (like the armor in Sul's tale would).

Yes, a "matched set" from an "intact mechanism", that's why I call it Power Armor. If it were talking about just some random Dwemer machine or Centurion in would make any sense, since that wouldn't account for it being a set ('set' being what you use to refer to armor, not to a working Centurion). I'm pretty sure you'd notice the bulk if you just jumped up in a Steam Centurion, however you wouldn't if what you were wearing was a piece of armor, not just a piece of a robot.

I hate to say it, but think Fallout, those are hardly Gundams, but they are for all intents and purposes "mechanical men".
also: multiple exclamation points strike me as rather rude <_<

That's why I only used them once for extra special emphasis!

anyways, this argument bores me, im out.

That's just bad form...

According to lore, when you get a matching full set of Dwemer Armor, it connects in such a way you can barely feel the entire bulk of the armor.

Proweler technically used the term first, but i don't know if he really meant for it to be used as an actual term, i.e., I think he just said it in passing.

At its basics, I'd guess it'd be armor which has some sort of internal power structure. I think the term is misleading in this case...

Firstly I think some have been a bit rude to Lady Nerevar. I recommend an apology. This isn't youtube.com. Be respectful.

Now I have a particular interest in this subject as I recreated all the dwemeric weapons from MW for OB and had a long discussion concerning the significant deviation in styles between OB and MW dwemer (dwarven).

Opinion:

Its simply a Beth design change and there isn't reputable lore to explain the reasoning. In MW we find ash piles beside armor pieces that obviously imply the dwemer were wearing these 'steam punk' mechanical suits when they had their incident. There are no alternate examples of dwemer armor in MW and all sets fit together the same way which does not support the 'scrap' idea (IMO). The MW armor is mechanical but doesn't resemble the components on a steam centurion. So... all indications are thats what the dwemer wore as armor (power or un-powered).

We could argue the same thing about the differences between OB and MW glass armor.

Power Armor: Armor which has been powered to increase the users strength, speed, and protection. Usually made for heavy protection(adding a thicker armor shell), usually sacrificing most gained speed.

As if Steam Centurions are the only Centurions in existence.

Closed for general guarheadedness all around.

If you're going to argue on these forums, you're going to have to address other people's arguments and not just pooh-pooh them or pass them over.

And using words like "obviously" or multiple punctuation marks is a sign that you are not arguing but merely gainsaying the other person's statement.
