Not enough disk space?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:31 am

I'm following the Daggerfall installation guide, and everything works fine until I try to install the game, when it gives me the error:

"You do not have enough disk space for your chosen installation type. The files take more room than the install program first anticipated..., etc, etc."

Now, the install for Daggerfall is 450mb and I have over 19gb free on my hard drive, so I'm pretty sure I have the space. Is there something that I'm doing wrong here?

Are you using the '-freesize 500' command? This tells DosBox how much hard drive space to use.

MOUNT C GAMES -freesize 500
MOUNT D X:\ -t cdrom (X being the letter of your optical drive where the Daggerfall CD is)
D:
INSTALL

I thought I had been using the '-freesize 500' command, and I had retried it a couple times as well, because I had the hunch that this determined disk space.

I tried it again and it's currently installing, so maybe I had typed something wrong? Oh well, it's working now, thanks, Hoot.
