I think I screwed up.. Big time.

Okay, so I installed Daggerfall, and it is a FANTASTIC game.. I want more... Problem though: I got the cd error that is usually caused by not putting in the right capitals (Daggerfall, not daggerfall or dAGGERFALL). I didn't know how to fix it, and I thought I was being smart installing the game again.. I apparently wasn't. So I go through the process:

Z:\>mount c c:\dosgames -freesize 1000
Drive C is mounted as local directory c:\dosgames\

Z:\>mount d c:\dosgames\dfcd -t cdrom -label Daggerfall
MSCDEX: Mounted subdirectory: limited support.
Drive D is mounted as CDRom c:\dosgames\dfcd\

Z:\>c:

C:\>cd\dagger

C:\DAGGER>dagger

TES: Daggerfall v1.0 - 08/30/96 14:05:49.
Copyright 1994,96 Bethesda Softworks.

CRITICAL ERROR: Please delete your Daggerfall directory and reinstall.

Go to where you stuck the dagger folder that you downloaded. Trash it (the whole folder). Empty the trash.

Re-unzip and put a new dagger folder there. THEN install again.

If you want to keep your character, you have to remove the save folders before you trash the dagger folder. Then, drag them into your new dagger folder and replace.

Umm... My stupid friend kinda recycled my recycle bin... I don't know how to get to it now.

Plus, I think this is a problem with DOSBox, I didn't reinstall the dagger files again, I reinstalled it onto DOSBox, not onto my computer.

yeah, you reinstalled it with unistalling it first.

You have to physically delete the folders.

Didn't you put the folders somewhere before opening Dosbox and installing?

Okay, I found my recycle bin, deleted the folders, and reinstalled Daggerfall. It works fine now, thank you :D
