How Are Games Mass Produced?

I'm curious as to how games (and movies for that matter) are mass produced?

Is there like a warehouse filled with computers that each have tons of disc drives, that each burn a mass amount of games/movies at a time?

Well they need someone to write all the discs

So what they do is they chain up a bunch of writers and force them to write on discs (usually with special ink pens)

Then they chain up a bunch of postal workers and force them to package the discs and send them out, for free, to video game stores. And that's how video games get sent out.

a glass master is created and a disc replicator is used to mass produces DVD discs. (a replicator which stamps retail DVD (not DVD-R) discs from the mold, is very different from a duplicator, which uses a laser to writes to blank DVD-Rs.)

mfg cost is around 50-60 cents per disc, including the packaging and artwork (collector's editions more expensive obviously)

Yup. I think there was one that showed how CDs are made, but I really couldn't find that. ^_^

Oh do they do it like that? I've always wondered.
