Our beloved masterlord, Nick Breckon

Post » Sun May 29, 2011 12:54 am

There are probably those of you who listened to the Idle Thumbs podcast of yore, a great conglomeration of three thumbs, with Chris Remo, Jake Rodkin, and Nick Breckon. (And sometimes Sean "Famous" Vanaman. And Steve "Hot Scoops" Gaynor.) The last is a most versatile foe, http://vimeo.com/21781232.

You probably know this man as the host of the Bethesda Podcast, though, but I have always been a fine connoisseur of the podcast he appeared in earlier, a podcast about games, Far Cry 2, puffins and The Wizard. You may approach it http://www.idlethumbs.net/.

Now, in all seriousness, Idle Thumbs is an excellent podcast that used to cast its pods into our faces last year, but alas, has come to a close. (For the second time - The first big break they took was when Nick left the podcast, but they later returned, with Famous & Scoops occasionally filling the never-curable hole in our hearts that is Nick Breckon.

I highly recommend you give it a listen, even though most of their topics are now quite dated, they're still as funny and intelligent as ever. Oh, and you're in for a treat if you like Far Cry 2/Trine.

Has anyone here listened to the podcast? I felt some people ought to listen to it, it's such a wonderful thing.

I'm sorry if my arguments are not sound, my posts badly stuck together like that one time I combined "Book" and "Superglue", I've been awake far too long and I admit I'm quite incoherent right now.

Kindest Regards,

-KFJ

Edit: Perhaps I should have actually mentioned Idle Thumbs in the topic title. Darn it.

Nah he's one of Gstaffs lackeys

See Gstaff couldn't bag moderators by himself anymore (claimed he had more important stuff to do) and deemed it necessary that he had a lackey. Hence he enslaved Nick and now he does all of Gstaff's bidding (like his laundry and shining his shoes).

Maybe Breckon just pronounced his T's with a ck. Oh, Nick.

And I can see why Gstaff needs lackeys, being our overlord is a dirty job, so it requires lackeys!
