Are PC gamers going to get shafted?

Looking at Bethesda's track record I don't think we have much to worry about, other than ridiculously large letters and icons in the inventory menu.

But I will admit hearing Todd say that he usually plays on the Xbox is a bit disheartening. Though in the making of Oblivion their playtester was playing on the PC version.

It's not a bad idea from a marketing standpoint to develop your game on the PC and release all your early videos and screenshots from the PC version as at this point it will look tons better than a console game... Although Bethesda has almost certainly with some incentive from Microsoft (who's western console makes a perfect home for one of the flagship western RPG series) made the 360 their primary platform and I'd expect their games to run increasingly like crap on PCs which is why I'll be playing on PS3 at least initially. Maybe once I can see the consensus from the PC community on the game I'll switch over. Honestly I'm very curious about this new engine but also very wary of it from a PC gamers standpoint.

Well, going by Betheda's track record, while I don't expect the PC version to get its own interface or anything like that, I expect a similar level of PC support to Oblivion, at least. Which is to say, while it doesn't take full advantage of the benefits of PCs, it does play alright on the platform. I've never once felt while playing Oblivion that I really don't want to play this game on PC, and I don't expect to with Skyrim either.

Well you'll be happy to know that the PC version will be getting it's own specific UI overhaul. But yes, I expect them to do a more Oblivion style change then Fallout 3 change. Oblivion looked worlds better on the PC than the 360 but fallout 3 looked barely better on the PC than the 360.
