Wonderland

If this comparison has been made before than my apologies, if not, read on. If you've played TES:IV and gone to the Shivering Isles than you may have noticed how spectacularly similar the Mania portion is to the description of Wonderland, obviously, from the book Alice in Wonderland. It seems like Bethesda almost completely took all their inspiration for Mania from Alice In Wonderland. This is just a semi-interesting thought that was running through my head that i figured for lack of something better to do, I would put here. Any thoughts?

Also, if you can think of any other cool references in the lore or anything to real life movies or books, I'd be glad to hear em.

How so exactly? Both were weird, so I can understand that relation, however Wonderland was simply a world were logical fallacies and the irrational reined supreme. Perhaps I wasn't paying attention when I played SI, but it seemed more like a psych ward fantasy land than anything dealing with logic.

It's like comparing a mental illness to an acid trip.

Inspired, yes. Right when SI came out, this forum (I think it was this forum) couldn't help but draw comparisons to Morrowind, since both liked massive fungi. But I also remember a dev coming on somewhere and explaining that he viewed it more or less as an Alice in Wonderland kind of vibe.

I can't remember the specifics right now.
