i am sorry op.... but reading the comments on this topic really made my masculinity go down exponentially. I need to go roll in dirt now...

I can't believe they are making a cartoon series off of a toy line. Wasn't my little pony originally just a toy? have people really no other ideas for tv shows any more?

You're acting like this is something new. Name a cartoon from the 80s, chances are it was solely to sell toys. The original My Little Pony, He-Man, every single Transformers series, G.I. Joe, Care Bears...I could go on.

I love how the mighty rage of Anonymous has been tamed by p0niez. Friendship is magic, after all!

I'd also like to add that I find pony fans the height of masculinity. Nothing to prove, yo. (We need a butch Rainbow Dash emoticon.)

The new my little pony series is special because it's good - not because it's new. There's been one for 30 years, they've just been terrible until now.

BTW, Lauren Faust will not be Executive, but only Consulting Producer for Season 2, busy time schedules are just not her thing. Basically she'll be in the same position, only less important.
